Teams should build apps from scratch (Mobile App / Consumer Web App / Business Web App).

Teams must be between 1 - 5 members.

Teams with over 5 members are not eligible to win anything.

Participants are encouraged to form teams prior to the start of the Hackathon. Participants, from their HackerEarth accounts, may “View Your Team”.

The Hackathon Prizes are:

• 1st Place: Each team member will receive a $100 Amazon gift card, 100% off Certification Vouchers, and $100 free Confluent Cloud credit.
• 2nd Place: Each team member will receive a $50 Amazon gift card, and $100 free Confluent Cloud credit.
• 3rd Place: Each team member will receive a $25 Amazon gift card, and $100 free Confluent Cloud credit.

Each winning project will be featured during the live Kafka Summit broadcast.

To be considered as one of the winners - teams must submit their projects by Monday, May 7 at 12:00 PM GMT. No late projects will be accepted. There will be one round of judging.

The overall judges will evaluate you based on the following criteria:

Address the challenge: Does the product address the challenge?

Innovation: Does the product introduce a new approach or perspective using Kafka technical?

Function as intended: Does the product function as intended?

Feasibility: Could this team turn this app into a real startup or feasible product?

We Promise: All the code you create during this hackathon is yours, and we will take no ownership of it. You are encouraged to do whatever you want with your project after this event.
